Everyone in the crypto world knows the name ‘Satoshi Nakamoto,’ but no one knows Nakamoto’s personality and the face behind the name. There is one person who has inside information on who Satoshi Nakamoto was! Laszlo Hanyecz was the first person to use Bitcoin in a commercial transaction, and only he knows who the real Satoshi Nakamoto was.
According to Laszlo, Satoshi Nakamoto was eccentric and odd, who gave a weird feeling when he entered the room. Laszlo is a developer who helped Satoshi in the development stages even though he had a full-time job as a developer.
“He’d say, ‘Hey, the west side’s down,’ or ‘We have these bugs – we need to fix this.’ I’d be like, we? We’re not a team. I thought that it was approval from him, that maybe he accepted me as a member. But I didn’t want the responsibility. I didn’t really understand all of the forces that were going on at the time,” Laszlo explained about Nakamoto’s bossiness.
Laszlo has agreed on one thing the crypto community agrees on, and that is that Nakamoto wanted always to remain private and anonymous. Nakamoto only asked questions, but never answered them.
Laszlo had realized that mining Bitcoin would be the best option to earn well, however, according to him Nakamoto would reply, “Well, I’d rather not have you do the mining too much.”
Satoshi Nakamoto was a paranoid person in general, whose emails would portray insecurity and fear of being watched.
Zycrypto has released an article stating that Satoshi Nakamoto is Bitcoin Cash developer Gavin Andresen. The findings were brought up using Eder’s bootstrapped stylometry method. Stylometry is a set of techniques that aim to identify an unknown author by statistically deciphering their style using statistics.
Zycrypto might be on to something, as JK Rowling’s pen name Robert Galbraith has been uncovered thanks to the same stylometry methods.
Till date, no one knows who the real Satoshi Nakamoto is. Dr. Craig Wright, An Australian computer scientist, and businessman claimed he was the real Satoshi Nakamoto. However, this proves to be wrong, when compared to the character described by Laszlo.
His last messages were in April 2011 on online forums communicating with early Bitcoin developers about Bitcoin and the original whitepaper.
