Tron [TRX] seems to be trying really hard to beat the bearish market slump with a slew of announcements being released by the Tron Foundation as well as the company’s Founder and CEO, Justin Sun.
Recently, Tron revealed that the daily transaction count had hit a new record of 901,408.
This new development comes in the wake of the cryptocurrency crossing the 500,000 barrier just last week, surpassing the daily count of even Ethereum [ETH]. Tron had earlier outperformed ETH with a substantial 33,563 transactions. Justin Sun had even tweeted:
“It is the first time that #TRON has surpassed #Ethereum in daily transaction. #TRX 599354 vs. #ETH 565791 in October 18th. It’s just the beginning! $TRX”
Tron has also been testing the financial ecosystem to speed up mainstream adoption with the latest announcement from the Foundation stating that Tron is sponsoring Cal Hacks 5.0, the world’s largest collegiate hackathon, which is based out of University of California Berkley. The shift of cryptocurrency companies into institutional establishments such as Berkley and Yale has also been doing the rounds on the cryptosphere.
The Tron Founder was also excited to announce that according to a survey done by CoinTrendz, Tron was the most mentioned cryptocurrency on Twitter. Additionally, TRX had a lead over the most famous cryptocurrency in the market, Bitcoin.
The 11th ranked cryptocurrency was also given a boost when the CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao praised Justin Sun and his team for their donation of $3 million to the Binance Charity Foundation [BCF]. Zhao had stated:
“Moving money to deal with social problems is also another way to increase adoption. The sheer number of people who have donated to the BCF is also amazing, and I would like to thank Justin Sun who donated $3 million to this cause.
