On 2nd August, Justin Sun, the CEO and Founder of Tron announced that Peiwo APP, the largest voice content community in China will run for the position of Tron Super Representative. He has also stated that with 10 million registered users and 1 million monthly active users, the inclusion of Peiwo APP will make it one of the largest dApps on the Tron Foundation.

The Foundation has stated that as of now there are over 62 candidates for the position of Super Representative with BitTorrent being the last addition. BitTorrent became part of the Tron community because it “displayed Tron’s inclusiveness and openness as a decentralized and autonomous community”.
As a Super Representative, members are given a major responsibility in the future governance structure of the Tron Foundation and will mainly represent the choice of the people. Reports have also shown that the Super Representative will act as the protectors of the Tron network and actively participate in the surveillance and validation of the network protocols. Peiwo’s official release stated that:
“Blockchain games will become the first entry point of the blockchain opportunity. TRON Network’s high TPS and 0 handling fee will be very conducive to the development of blockchain games. After thoughtful consideration, Peiwo and Zempty Studio decided to join TRON Network. Not only are we going to participate in the game development, we are going to run for Super Representative.”
Back in February of this year, the Tron Foundation had also announced the integration of TRX and Peiwo APP. The major demographic of Peiwo are users between the ages of 16 and 25 located primarily in the major cities of China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzen. The other locations are basically focused on North America and Western Europe. The company has commented:
“Through online audio live streaming, Peiwo APP not only provides young people with a platform “Not look at your face” to show themselves but also brings them opportunities of self-fulfillment via the cryptocurrency system on the platform.”
The announcement of Peiwo’s candidacy was met with positive responses on Twitter with Mohd Imran Bin Mujid, a Twitter user commenting:
“go…go…go…growth baby tron…”
