Lition is developing the next-gen blockchain specifically for businesses, to enable companies to upscale their existing offering using blockchain technology.
The solution aims to tackle the current inefficiencies of the blockchain, which hinder adoption by many enterprises. These include:
- The secure exchange of private data
- Compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. deletion of data as mandated by GDPR
- The scalability problem – significant reduction of transaction costs and block confirmation time
Lition began its journey in the space by building a very successful peer-to-peer [P2P] energy blockchain solution. This decentralized application [dApp] is currently available to 41 million German households, allowing customers to choose and manage their clean energy for the first time.
Lition is now taking it a step further by challenging the status quo of current blockchain infrastructures. Building on their unique technical and commercial experience with an up and running blockchain solution, Lition is developing the world’s first scalable public-private blockchain with deletable data features, made for commercial products. This state-of-the-art infrastructure enables blockchain-based applications to step out of their current niche into commercial mainstream deployment.
To increase development power and become the blockchain standard for business, Lition has teamed up with SAP, the world’s largest provider of enterprise application software. Lition’s Token Generation Event [TGE] is primarily set up to fully establish the public consensus layer of the technology. The company is currently in a private sale mode, in which enterprises and future token users are predominantly targeted. The public phase of TGE will launch in Q1 2019, to give a broad audience of blockchain and crypto-enthusiasts access to Lition Tokens. As an interim solution, the latter will be Ethereum based until the new business blockchain is live and tokens are migrated. For more information on their Token Sale i.e. TGE, visit the official website.
As one of the foremost blockchain start-ups in Germany, Lition is also consulting with the German government amongst other stakeholders to develop a blockchain legal framework for the country. Its CEO Dr. Richard Lohwasser, recently spoke with government officials on these matters to help map out a comprehensive blockchain strategy, including the use of cryptocurrency for business, that works for all stakeholders involved, as technology is here to stay.
