Stellar Lumens [XLM], Cardano [ADA], Zcash [ZEC], 0x [ZRX] and Basic Attention Token [BAT] are pumping, Coinbase tricks?

On 13th July, Coinbase announced the potential listing of its new assets – Stellar Lumens[XLM], Cardano [ADA], Zcash [ZEC], 0x [ZRX] and Basic Attention Token [BAT]. The speculations are that the announcement has hiked the prices of the tokens.

Coinbase tweeted:

“Today we are announcing that we’re exploring the addition of the following assets to Coinbase: Cardano (ADA), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Stellar Lumens (XLM), Zcash (ZEC) and 0x (ZRX).”

Along with this, Coinbase also added a blog to explain the reason why the platform has added several new assets.

While the cryptocurrency market has been under the claws of the bear, the market for Coinbase’s assets is turning towards the bullish range.

As observed, Stellar Lumens [XLM] started its day on 13th July with a trading price of $0.18. Post the announcement of Coinbase the coin pumped to $0.21. The coin had a market cap of $3.49 Billion, with the market cap has increasing to $3.71 billion in under 9 hours. This shows an increase of over $20 million. At the time of writing, the coin experienced a hike of 7.23%.

Stellar Lumens recently was added to ‘Kingdom Trust‘ along with 7 other big coins. The coin also had a project named StellarX built exclusively to be the marketplace for XLM. A cryptocurrency-fiat trading platform named ‘Tempo‘ was built and backed by Stellar DEX.

Cardano [ADA] had a gloomy day until Coinbase entered the scene. ADA was trading at the price of $0.12, with a hike up to $0.14 after the announcement. The coin had the market cap of $3.30 billion before the announcements, leading to a current market cap at $3.52 billion. This shows an increase of $22 million under 24 hours. At the time of press, ADA has a hike of 5.85% in 24 hours and is ranked #8 on CoinMarketCap.

The CEO of IOHK, Charles Hoskinson, has recently tweeted a video sharing updates on Cardano. It includes details on Cardano 1.3, Cardano 1.4 and the Shelley phase. The tech leader has also dropped a hint regarding a new anonymous partnership, the updates of which are planned to be announced on August 15th.

Zcash [ZEC] has had a spike of 9.62% in the past 24 hours. The coin before the speculated-pump announcement was traded at $157.52, showing a hike up to $185.52 post the news. ZEC had a market cap of $673 million which changed to the current market cap of $750 million under 24hours.

On 11th July, Zooko Wilcox, leader of the Zcash Company, had tweeted about an internal controversy within the Zcash Foundation. The gossip was about Zcash and its Ecosystem funding.

On 13th July, 0x [ZRX] carried the trading price of $0.81. The coin then hiked, entering the $1 club. The coin experienced an increase of $87 million in its market cap under the span of 12 hours. At the time of writing, ZRX is traded at the price of $0.94 with a hike of 15.76% in its 24 hours cap.

Unocoin, India’s leading cryptocurrency trading platform had announced that Unodax will support the holdings of 0x[ZRX] coins.

In June, John McAfee, the founder of McAfee associates and online crypto-influencer made a prediction of 0x tokens. According to McAfee’s predictions, ZRX [0x] will be at $2.90 by 1st August.

Basic Attention Token [BAT] coin has followed the surging shadows of the other Coinbase listed assets. BAT has a surge of 18.78% in its 24 hour cap, with the coin jumping from $0.26 to $0.34.

On 13th July, BAT had a market cap of $269 million which increased to $318 million, adding $49 million to its value. Basic Attention Token is one of the lesser-known coins of the crypto-world. The coin has gained popularity amongst the crypto-enthusiasts due to the announcement.

When calculated, the potential listing announcement by Coinbase has added approximately $255 million of value to the cryptocurrency market.
