Litecoin community can now play a monster evolution game using LTC

Geplaatst op augustus 9, 2018 door Blockchain News

On 9th August, The Litecoin School of Crypto, a Twitter fan handle of Litecoin tweeted about two games involving Litecoin, namely, CryptoMonsters and Coindroids. Charlie Lee, the mastermind behind the creation of Litecoin also retweeted about Coindroids. The tweet by the fan channel read:

“Here’s another really cool #Litecoin based game called @Coindroids where you pay to attack robots. If you destroy them, you get their bounties! Each $LTC block is considered a “round” where you can attack, defend, or take cover.”

A Twitter user commented on the tweet, saying that the channel is posting about gaming when the LTC market and its investors are ‘going through an absolute bloodbath’. On this, the Litecoin School of Crypto replied by writing:

“Play the game to distract you. :)”

Recently, LTC has not seen an upward trend in its prices and has been dipping lower. In the past week, the Litecoin market opened with LTC trading at $78.03 [2nd August] but rallied down to a red path, and reached $62.14 [8th August].

At the time of writing, LTC is trading at $62.47 with a market cap of $3.6 billion. Its 24-hour trading volume is recorded to be $295.7 million with a drop of about 5.67% in its price.

Another Twitterati asked about how one can develop dApps [Decentralized Applications] using Litecoin. To this, the handle replied by saying:

“If you want to do it the way ETH does it, you can use RSK when it comes onto LTC. But you can easily build something for LTC without it!”

Previously, the same Twitter handle also posted about another Litecoin game, CryptoMonsters on Twitter. In this game, there exist unique monsters and the gamers use their monsters to fight other monsters, which will help them ‘evolve’ in the game. To determine different outcomes, new LTC blocks can be used by the gamer, which can further be split or sold.

The Twitter handle further posted about its own game, tweeting about how the evolution of the monster went by. The particular monster was named Aucio Du by the handle.

Apart from these applications, Litecoin’s main focus, in the long run, has been the adoption of the cryptocurrency by the masses. Recently, the government of Queensland gave its support to Litecoin [LTC] and a few other cryptocurrencies by showing acceptance. The other cryptocurrencies were Bitcoin [BTC], Ether [ETH], Dash [DASH] and NEM [XEM].
