Ahead of the Mainnet launch, on 24th August, Lisk announced on their official Twitter handle that they have released a patch update ‘Lisk Core 1.0.1’. The release will be particularly important to shareholders planning to migrate to the Mainnet with the ‘Docker Image’ the announcement stated.

The patch ‘Lisk Core 1.0.1’ will be fully compatible with the Lisk Core 1.0.0 they stated in their official Medium Blog post. Although it is not mandatory for the community to use the version 1.0.1, it has been recommended to be used. However, stakeholders wishing to migrate to the Mainnet with a Docker Image must upgrade to the version 1.0.1 the team stated.
The patch update also brings with it a solution for two issues.
- The outdated Docker configuration file which resulted in an inability to migrate using the Docker container platform has been fixed in this release, the blog stated.
- The Low performance for transactions endpoint with sort param issue which was fixed in v1.2.0 has been included in the current patch as well due to its nature of importance the team explained. Lisk Core v1.0.0-rc.3 patch is available for download and installation on the Testnet in correspondence to the performance of /api/transactions endpoint with an improvisation they stated.
The team has also confirmed that the estimated Mainnet migration block height of 6,901,027 will remain the same.
On 23rd August, the Lisk team also posted an update regarding the progress of the Lisk Core 1.0 migration to Mainnet. All components of the Lisk ecosystem have been updated and aligned for the upcoming release the blog mentions.
The blog stated:
“Here at LiskHQ, we’re buckled down and working hard in preparation for the upcoming Lisk 1.0.0 migration on Mainnet on August 29. “
The team has also finished its Quality Assurance [QA] testing on Lisk Core 1.1.0 with no issues occurring during the testing phase. They also mentioned that the work on Lisk Core 1.2.0 has been going well. Issues existing in the Lisk Core 1.2.0 has been worked on and resolved by the team.
Earlier this month, community members running RC2, the latest version of Lisk Core 1.0.0 on Testnet, reported to the Lisk team that memory consumption of their nodes was slowly increasing over time which resulted in the crashing of some child processes within their nodes.
The team has stated that the issue has been identified to have crept due to a peer rejection during the socket handshake phase. Lisk recommends users to use socketcluster-server version 11.2.2. to eliminate the issue.
In addition to the above, the team has also revealed that they have already started planning the release of Lisk Core 1.3.0. Moreover, the team has opened a GitHub page where issues are being added.
