On July 20th, the digital asset trading platform, OKEx announced on Twitter that it has added Cardano [ADA] to its trading list. ADA is the native token of the renowned blockchain company, Input-Output Hong Kong. The go-live schedule of the token announced was:
“ADA deposit – 16:00 Jul 20 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8)
ADA spot trading (USDT, OKB, BTC, ETH Market) – 16:00 Jul 23 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8)
ADA withdrawal – 18:00 Jul 24 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8)”
OKEx also added a new token, Hycon [HYC]. The go-live schedule for HYC was:
“HYC deposit – 18:00 Jul 23 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8) HYC spot trading ( BTC, ETH Market) – 16:00 Jul 24 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8) HYC spot trading (USDT Market) – 16:00 Jul 27 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8) HYC withdrawal – 18:00 Jul 27 (Hong Kong Time, UTC +8)”
The ADA token was also listed as one of the potential candidates by the leading cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, a few days ago. Other potential listings were of Stellar Lumens [XLM], Zcash [ZEC] and Ox [ZRX].
Recently, Cardano has gained a considerable amount of recognition through its Founder, Charles Hoskinson, who has been keeping Cardano fans and followers in the loop through his social media posts.
Currently, Cardano is in Shelley phase, which is an updated version of Cardano fixed with a new package of features. These features are divided into three parts, namely, networking, delegation and incentives.
The most significant upcoming updates that the Cardano community is excited about are Cardano 1.3, which is due at the end of July. Additionally, the release of Cardano 1.4 is also planned by the last quarter of 2018. This update will see multiple network enhancements. 15th August is also set to bring an announcement of Cardano’s new partnership.
Compared to the beginning of the week [13th July], when Cardano was trading at $0.128073, the prices have gone up by 39.21%. At the closing of the week [July 18th], ADA was trading at its weekly high of around $0.192930.
At press time, ADA is trading at $0.177701 with a market cap of $4.6 billion. In the past 24 hours, the drop in ADA’s price has been recorded at -4.81% with a trading volume of $207.4 million.
On 19th July, Malta Stock Exchange on Twitter also announced its partnership with OKEx. The announcement read:
“The @MaltaStockExch is thrilled to be partnering with @OKEx_ and officially entering the security token space.”
goldcoincrypto, a Twitter user and a Cardano fan, on Cardano’s listing on OKEx wrote:
“Congrats to the #Cardano team and their community!”
