Recently, during the Ethfinex Governance Summit, Paolo Ardoino, the CTO of Bitfinex spoke about the success of Bitfinex and provided an insight on their developer-focused approach. He also spoke about the company’s recently launched products, Ethfinex and EOSFinex.
According to Ardoino, several companies failed to produce products because of regional wars which could have been either internal or external. He stated that the company was unbiased because they did not want the developers to be a part of a disputed environment.
The CTO went on to say that the team was working on adding value to their users’ experience and build the best platform around it. Ardoino said that the company was focused on providing more to their customers by creating various products. He added that the members of the team were “big believers”.
Speaking about the company’s infrastructure, Ardoino stated that it gave them a chance to give back to the cryptocurrency industry along with growing their business.
Ardoino also spoke about the unity of the team. Exemplifying his statement with a hacking incident that occurred in 2016, he stated that the team stuck together and worked towards fixing the issue. Moreover, he stated that the team wanted to come out stronger than before.
In comparison to other exchanges, he stated that they were comprised of a small team which was responsible for all the work that went into creating the platform.
The chief also spoke about their first Product, the Biftfinex exchange. He called it a “really cool project.” He mentioned that the team had spent a lot of time designing the UI and the back end of the system.
He went on to say:
” We have 5 to 6 big projects that are coming in the next month, that will improve the experience will make it, let’s say, more open.”
He also stated that the projects will ensure that the different applications of the platform are easily available for the users to develop on. The CTO also spoke about the platform’s decentralized exchange, Ethfinex. He said that the developers took some time to make the platform work properly. He added that Ethfinex allows users to assess the central liquidity. It allows users to keep the funds under their control.
The company also offers another product called EOSfinex, a high-performance decentralized exchange built on EOS. He stated that the product is different from others because it is fully on-chain. The team will further decide whether to put the EOSfinex on the main chain.
