On 2nd August Roger Ver, the Founder of Bitcoin Cash announced that the cryptocurrency had processed more transactions in a single day than Bitcoin ever had. He also went on to comment on the minimal transaction fees that were levied on users which “is much lower than BTC”.
Roger Ver has been on a war path against Bitcoin, by blasting comparison tweets and ensuring that awareness is spread about Bitcoin Cash. The statistic that Ver shared showed that on 1st August Bitcoin transactions touched figures of 240,894 while Bitcoin Cash surged to 687,613 transactions.
This drastic disparity showed that users preferred faster transactions over the mainstream Bitcoin process. This landmark also coincided with the first anniversary of the hard fork of Bitcoin that led to the creation of Bitcoin Cash.
Alejandro de la Torre, the Vice President of Business Operations at BTC.com stated that Bitcoin Cash is far more superior than Bitcoin Cash because it solves the scalability problems associated with BTC. He added:
“Larger block-sizes give each block more space to include transactions, which drives down wait times and costs per transaction, making the blockchain fluid and more accessible.”
The Vice President and Roger Ver are unanimous on the sheer impact of Bitcoin Cash innovations in the cryptoshphere. La Torre was also quoted as saying:
“Now entering its second year, BTC.com is poised to help the Bitcoin Cash community shift focus from investment, thinking only in terms of storing of value, to cash, thinking as a medium of exchange for merchants and consumers.”
According to reports, Bitcoin Cash has been growing from strength to strength with multiple updates occurring over the past few weeks. Bitcoin Cash was also in the news recently for reportedly revising the rules for listing prices on Bitcoin.com A Swiss exchange called Bity had stated that they had received a mail from Bitcoin.com regarding this news.
The date of 1st August also marked the occasion when Bitcoin Cash entered nineteen services, some of them being Bitpay, Coinpayments, Coingate, Coindance, Viabtc. The cryptocurrency was also inducted into 14 other cryptocurrency models, out of which the major ones are, JoyStream, OpenBazaar, Counterparty, states reports.
