On 4th August, the official Twitter handle of Dash posted that the government of Queensland, Australia is allegedly shaping a scheme to fit Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency payments into the system. This program could help cryptocurrencies see a wider adoption in Queensland. The coins expected to be accepted are BTC, LTC, ETH, DASH and NEM [XEM].
Currently, in the Australian scenario of the cryptocurrency space, it has seen a widespread adoption in payments all around the country. From Queensland and Victoria to Perth in Western Australia, local merchants in many big cities are also accepting cryptocurrencies now.
Some of them are 1770 SUP, a Travel Provider in Queensland, Natures Hideaway Spa in Perth and Spoon, a dining place at the Brisbane Airport International Terminal among others.

TravelByBit is the company working on the project that is to be approved by the government. The company helps local vendors open their payment options to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies around Australia. TravelByBit collectively calls these projects as the crypto adoption movement meant to benefit the travelers involved in the cryptocurrency space.
Moreover, the crypto tourism firm also made its way into one of the 70 companies to be funded by the Queensland government. In a statement, Kate Jones, Queensland’s Minister for Innovation and Tourism Industry Development reportedly said:
“TravelbyBit has devised a clever way to make it easier for visitors to our state to pay for their purchases with a growing number of local businesses accepting cryptocurrency payments. I understand TravelbyBit is specifically targeting places like Bundaberg – using cryptocurrency to make it easier for tourists to book holidays.”
The CEO of the crypto-tourism company also conveyed that the team is targetting a different audience as the phase of cryptocurrency is here. The main focus of their services is on the travelers who are tech-savvy, specifically involved or beginning their journey in the cryptoverse.
The travelers can book their tickets, eat out, pay for their hotel expenses and more through cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Litecoin. Currently, the company alone has around 150 merchants in Australia that use its services including the medical sector.
